2020 Lion Way Properties Time to Shine Gala
$3 million raised for the Future of Surgery
On February 1, 2020, more than 320 philanthropists, health care and community leaders raised $3 million to close VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation’s $60 million Future of Surgery campaign.
“The Future of Surgery campaign has garnered tremendous support from across the province,” says Angela Chapman, President & CEO of VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation. “I would like to especially thank the Chinese-Canadian community of Metro Vancouver for their generosity to this campaign, including William Lin and An-Nien Lu whose $1 million gift at the 2020 Lion Way Properties Time to Shine gala for instrumental to closing this campaign.”
A special thank you to David & Alice Chung, who stepped forward to top up our total so that we achieved our $3 million goal.
Thank you once again to Judy Leung and Pei Huang, our gala Co-Chairs, and the entire Gala Committee for their tireless efforts and dedication to ensure that this year’s gala was a resounding success! To our emcees Mr. Todd Talbot and Ms. Lisa Wu, and our wonderful auctioneer Mr. Fred Lee.
